VAN TRANG | MAI
Born in Tien Giang, Vietnam, Van Trang graduated from the Saigon University of Theater in 2009. Since then, she has been a rapidly rising star in Vietnam’s pool of young talent., winning awards for her theater work. Her film credits include Dam Me, Bo Cap Tim, and Gia Dinh Phep Thuat. Though she still performs on stage, her emphasis is now on film and television.
QUYNH HOA | KIM
Born in Vung Tau, Hoa is currently a first year student at the university of Tourism and Hotel Management. Hoa’s introduction to hip hop was through a friend, the leader of a local group called Step Up Crew. She has participated in many competitions during two years and gained many prizes: third place in Buoc Nhay Tre, second in Step 2010, third in Buoc Nhay Xi Tin, second in Parkson Flemington, the best of Vu Dieu Tre. Mai in SAIGON ELECTRIC is her first film role.
ZEN 04 | DO-BOY
Born in Saigon, Zen 04 (real name: HÀ PHẠM ANH HIỀN) started dancing when he was 13 and currently is the member of Big South dance group, established in 2006. Hien and his group has joined many Hip Hop Dance competitions and gained the top prizes: The best of Rocking the City 2008 and 2009, The best of Triple Dance, The best of Dam Sen Cup. Do-boy in SAIGON ELECTRIC is his first film role.
KHOUNG NGOC | HAI
Born in Nha Trang, Mr. Khuong graduated in 2006 from the Saigon University of Theater in 2006. Ngoc is currently one of the more popular young actors working in theater and television. He has been the recipient of numerous awards for his acting, mostly recently the HTV award for the feature film TAXI.
ELLY NGUYEN | HOA
Born in Saigon, Elly had aspirations of acting and had a small stint working in the tourism industry. Her portrait photos were circulated wide on the internet, and she has since amassed an online fan base, where she is known as Elly Tran Ha. Her popularity in Korea has led her invitation to publish her own autograph book in Korea. Besides acting in SAIGON ELECTRIC she was a cast in Vietnam’s first 3D film which was shot in 2010.
PHAN TAN THI | THE PROFESSOR
Born in Tien Giang. Mr. Phan is currently a member of Vietnam Theatre Artist Association. His awards include Gold Medal of Ho Chi Minh Professional Theatre in 1981, Silver Medal of National Professional Theatre in 1985, and Gold Medal of National Professtional Theatre in 1990. His extensive film credits include: Em va Michael, Duong Tran ( for director Luu Huynh), Chuyen Tinh Xa Xu (Director Victor Vu), Phim 1735, Ngon Nen Hoang Cung, Luc Van Tien, Duong Ve, Goi Giac Mo Ve, Tinh Yeu Pha Le, Truy Tim Dau Vet, Tham Vong, Hoa Thien Dieu, Tam Nam Van Phu, Anh Em Nha Bac Si.
